Hello! I've been working on a big cross stitched sprite lately, and I've noticed while working on it that a couple of the bright blue threads are a slightly different texture than the other 14, like they're too squeaky or something. It's not problematic, and it's new DMC floss, so I'm sure the quality is fine, but I was wondering if it had happened to any of you guys before. I've only been stitching for a couple of years, so for all I know, it could be absolutely normal, but I was a bit curious about the whole thing. ^^;

I haven't had that happen with the blues I'm working with??
Just I find the one blue that feels smoother and looks like it shines. But once I stitched with it -- it seems fine.
You should write to them -- tell them the tiny problem with the floss. you never know they might send you a new one!! Razz

Does the blue have a "S" in front of the number? If so its a different type of thread altogether. I've used those types on two different occasions and I agree with you, they are "squeaky". If you still want to use them, I've found that keeping them taunt (holding the string as you pull it through etc) seems to help it not to tangle.

It didn't have an S in front, but I was at a craft store today and it did feel like the satin floss. It didn't make any difference in the final product, so I don't think I'll complain, but it was really odd. ^^; Thank you very much for answering!
