Alexis' Quilt

For about just over a year now I've been working on a quilt for my daughter Alexis. I started it while I was pregnant with her and she is currently nine and a half months old. Both me and my husband are big comic book nerds and so I figured a good way to introduce her into that world would be through a fun medium. The first superhero teddy bear I made was for my husband, I did his favourite character the Hulk. Since then I've been making bears for the quilt I plan to make for my daughter. I hope to have thirty bears in total, so far I have made patterns for twenty three and have completed somewhere around fifteen.

Recently I've been side tracked by doing comissions for a few friend but once they'll all done I have three left to do I'll be back to doing the characters for the quilt.

OMG those are amazing! Did you make your patterns on a program or are you just drawing them out? that quilt is going to be mind blowing when it's finished I can't wait to see it. how are you attaching the aida to the fabric?

I did used to hand draw them on graph paper but now I just use ms paint to draw them out over a graph I made myself.

These are so cool! It's really neat how you combined the more traditional teddy bear pattern with all of the Marvel characters, and the detail of the outfits (the Jean Grey one seems especially relevant to this) is incredibly spiffy!

I was expecting to see the actual characters, and I saw bears! That's really clever! ^_^

Wow this quilt is going to be epic, once finished! I've never been a big X-man fan, but those teddies are so cute. Really amazing idea, to turn characters into bears, and so well executed! The Wolverine Teddie is one of my faves ^^

I did this one for a few friends, I haven't decided whether or not I'll make it for the quilt.
