Guess Who?

Hey there, well I don’t really need to introduce myself because I think most you know me over on deviantArt, but for those of you that don’t…

My name is Caroline but my friends tend to call me “Caz” or “Cazzy”. I’m 37 years old so I’m a bit of an old git too :-) I’ve always been creative and I’ve been drawing and building with Lego for as long as I can remember but I’m a bit of newbie when it comes to needlework.

It was something that I always wanted to have a go at, but I think I always feared I wouldn’t have the patience. Anyway, in 2002, I took my mum (who’s also a cross-stitcher) to a craft show as a treat. It got me hook – I decided to get some small kits and stuff and within a few hours of getting home, I had mastered the basics!

From then on, I’ve not looked back and pretty soon I had moved on to doing my bigger and more complex pieces! My toughest project to date was a wedding sampler I did for my sister – I didn’t finish it until 18 months “after” her wedding…LOL!!!!

It wasn’t until 2007 that I started designing my own stuff. I guess it was natural progression and there’s something very rewarding about stitching something you’ve designed yourself.

The first piece I designed was my now famous “Cloud in Stitches” which came from a pixel-Chibi I came across on the internet (I’ve only just recently found out who the pixel artist was). It was easy to chart and fun to stitch and when I posted him on DA he became an instant hit.

Patters for Cloud and Zack used to be hosted on LittleMojo’s website before it disappeared. Good news is that I managed to salvage the .PDF patterns from LittleMojo’s site for Cloud and Zack and if anyone would like to stitch them, PM your email address and I send them to you.

Ultimately, I would like to have my own website where I can host all my patterns, but I need a new laptop and charting software so it might be next year before it’s up and running. In the mesntime, if people would like me to donate the patterns to this site, let me know!

Hello! I'm so glad your here, I love both your DA and blog ^^ And, that might me off topic, but I already love your monthly feature Not only yous show an awesome artist, but you totally chaged my opinion about the blackwork
And I always loved the chibi Cloud and Sephiroth I'd love to stitch Cloud someday, but that probably won't be soon, because I already have too many pending projects >.<

Wow that was probably the best intro I have ever read. I'm so glad you excited you decided to join our forums. I would love you have your patterns uploaded to our site but I think I'll leave that up to you to decide.
