| Hello everyone, this is max-the-rabbitything from DA!
Okay, I've been stitching for about a year now. It all started when I went with my mom to Joann and was drawn to all the bright colors of the floss section. There was a bin nearby filled with $1.29 starter kits so I bought three, thinking the finished products would make good (inexpensive) xmas gifts. Before I knew it I was stitching Laharl, Etna and Flonne and then winning an NISA contest with an Ar Tonelico bath scene! Now I've been stitching mostly game sprites with an occasional dakimakura and tapestry.
I've also been making a few patterns (out of pre existing images) just to give my hands a rest, so if there's anything you're interested in, don't hesitate to ask! ^^
I'm looking forward to meeting new stitchers and seeing all your work!
がんばってください! (do your best!)

| Hello! It's really nice to see you on here, and I hope you enjoy your stay! I started with the dollar-thirty craft store kits, too- mine was a yellow house cryptically labeled "Santa's Hut." | |

| Hello! ^^ btw how should be read the "do your best"? Gambatte, maybe? Hmm, I've never stitched a kit I bought one first, but it was plain boring so I just used the thread for someting else. The internet is way more exciting! | |

Santa's Hut? Sounds like some weird shed in the north pole where Santa and the reindeer go to play cards and get away from Mrs. Claus for awhile! ^^ - Topcho wrote:

| Hi max........ welcome!! I think everyone starts with little kits!! It is the way to go just to see if your into it!! My first kits were given to me from my Aunt-- it was a dinosaur and a bear with hearts that had a musical thing that you put inside-- but my son ended up with them-- He seems to get most of the things I stitch!! | |

I tried to do a kit once but I never finished it >.< I have only ever finished custom pieces. They seem to just have that lour that draws me to finish.

| Those little kits are fun (and make cheap gifts) but I can see how people would want to make custom stuff ^^ | |
