| Hello! This pattern was strongly inspired by Chrislea the Scribbler's far tidier kanji patterns that are already on the website, but while I was looking for ideas for stitching a baby shower gift for one of my friends, I saw the kanji for aishoka, the Japanese word for bibliophile, and after chatting in the "favorite book/book series" topic, I thought it might make a cute bookmark. In order to get a more handwritten look, I copied the kanji into MS Paint using a tablet, then ran it through Hobby Ware Pattern Maker to turn it into a pattern. The border is supposed to have sort of a scroll-ish look, too, but it could be very easily left off. Anyway, here's the pattern- I hope it proves useful for someone! It is not the most professional looking thing ever, since in terms of kanji, I admittedly have no clue what I'm doing, but it was fun to make. | |

| Ooh, that's pretty! I like the scroll around them. It would look neat on some beige fabric, like an ancient text. ^_^ | |
